Managing Director
Michael Mkolasato Harawa
The Managing Director of Meratone Construction Company, who is also the founder of the company, is Civil Engineer by profession with a Master of Science Degree in Integrated Water Resources Management specializing in Water Supply and Sanitation with Credit from The University of Zimbabwe in collaboration with The Polytechnic of Namibia. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering obtained from University of Malawi, The Polytechnic and a certificate in Waterworks Engineering obtained from Sapporo Waterworks Bureau/JICA Sapporo in Japan. He has worked on several engineering projects on senior technical positions both in Public and Private Companies. He is also a Registered Graduate Engineer with the Malawi Board of Engineers. Mr. M.M. Harawa has a vast experience in designing and supervising the construction of roads, bridges, buildings, water supply systems and irrigation schemes. He also has vast experience in designing and construction of Gravity-Fed Water Supply Systems
The Managing Director is mainly involved in coordinating and directing all the activities of the company and also representing the company on all issues concerning the company on various forums. Since he is a Civil Engineer, he is also directly involved in supervision of construction works to ensure compliance to the engineering standards and specifications.
